We are writing to let you know that we recently discovered unauthorized access to certain of your user account information on www.findtuition.com including one or more of the following:

  • Your Site user name (the e-mail address you use to login to www.findtuition.com);
  • Your encrypted Site password (which means that the accessed "password" was cryptographically scrambled and cannot be used to sign-in to your account);
  • A numeric identification number assigned to your account; and
  • The date that your user account was created.
The good news? Our investigation indicates that, excluding your e-mail address used to access www.findtuition.com, none of your personal user information (name, mailing address, age, ethnicity, and phone number) was accessed or seen by the persons that committed this act. Additionally, the "key" that such persons would need to decipher your encrypted password is kept separate from the above information and we have no reason to believe that it was in any way accessed by them. Even better, in light of the above, we are confident that there is no reason to believe that any of your personal user information (again, excluding your e-mail address used to access www.findtuition.com) may have been accessed.

However, for your protection, www.findtuition.com was temporarily taken offline, and we promptly "expired" your password and the associated www.findtuition.com account. Consequently, the next time you visit www.findtuition.com you will need to re-register for the site, including selecting a new password in order to log in.
