  1. thanks for the information. I'm sure anyone who receive these kind of email will be aware to not open the email. They must be do a background check to make sure if it is scam or some important emails that they do not know.

  10. I am currently receiving these background check emails. And, they have caused me a lot of concearn. Due to the fact, that I am currently in email correspondents, with a number of organisation's. And I have, questioned, they're involvement, in requesting said, 'unwarranted' background checks.I am thankfull for your site, and for highlighting this email scam. Thanks to chaps like you, people like us, can not only find information which educates us. But, you have saved me, from accusing business associates of doing such background checks. Sincerly, THANKS GUYS.

  11. please remember that those that do these dispicable scams, will change they're styles and approaches. So please, be on your guards, against these scammers. And wherever possible - if you have the skills, research who these scammers are, and shut them down. Becouse they cause, not only distress, and false accusation. But they do create, mistrust and financial difficulties.

  15. I received two emails ten minutes apart from ICM stating someone ram a background check on me. Aggravating. These jerks need to get a life.

  16. I just received an email, stating it was from ICM saying that my back-ground files may be available in their system, and it provides a link to click if this is an error or I would like to run my own background.

    http://reverse.greateyeprice-today.us...................
That is the beginning of the link. I am NOT clicking but this is the first suspicious email that has made it through my junk filter in 5 years. I'm a little concerned as to what caused it.

  17. I got it too, and also got an email from a long-lost ex-boyfriend who is a thief and lifestyle-convict. Aside from the alarm that he has not lost my email and that he still thinks of me (at least as a target),I also noticed a grammatical error in the subject line. It said, "Someone run a background check on you, View Results." It should be "ran," "has run," or "may have run." This glaring unprofessionality alerted me to smell a rat.

  26. These seem to come in droves. Won't see one for a few months then all of a sudden the spam box will have a 1/2 doz of them for weeks. Probably because I clicked on one once but never went to the site. Still creeps me out and glad there are sites like these that explain them.

  28. I got one today, and it was very dirty and offensive. Why would a legitimate company send that to you? Answer- because they aren't. They are scum. I was suspicious from the start. Thanks to others for sharing similar comments. Well done all for not falling it. John Ellis Francis (aged 29)
