Good Day,

I am getting in touch with you regarding the estate of a deceased client with your similar last name and an investment placed under my management 5 years ago.

In 2004, (the Late Alfred) came to our bank (Chinatrust Bank) to engage in business discussions with our private banking division. He informed us that he had a financial portfolio of 8.35 million United States dollars, which he wished to have us invest on his behalf. I was duly appointed his private/portfolio banker at the time.

Based on my advice, we spun the money around various opportunities and made attractive margins for our first months of operation, the accrued profit and interest stood at this point at over US$9 Million.

In mid 2004, he instructed that the principal sum (US$8.35M) be liquidated because he needed to make an urgent investment requiring cash payments in Hong Kong.

We got in touch with a specialist bank in Hong Kong the Hang Seng Bank who agreed to receive this money for a fee and make cash available to Alfred.

In December of 2008, I received a communication from Hang Seng Bank officially notifying me that as a policy, their bank has to notify the originator of any transfer in the event of a transfer remaining unclaimed after 3 years. The $8.35 Million we had transferred on behalf of Alfred had sat in the bank for over 3 years untouched, without any instructions from him.

This was indeed shocking news for me considering the urgency with which he had requested we make the transfer at the time.

Upon enquiry I found out that Alfred was involved in an accident in Mainland China and passed away only a few weeks after the transfer was made to Hang Seng Bank on his behalf.

As his personal banker, I used all the information available to me from his files, and upon further enquiries discovered that the Deceased died intestate In fact, he died without even nominating a next of kin, or stating a beneficiary for his estate in the event of the inevitable.

His records with us too show no next of kin and the reason I am writing you is because you are namesakes.

MY PROPOSAL

What I propose is that since I have exclusive access to his file and Hang Seng Bank were given instructions by me to receive funds when we sought their assistance, I have set up a trust account (Alfred Charitable Endowment Trust) and I want you as the namesakes to be the executor of the trust. The trust will be written as to the wishes of the deceased and administered as he wished. You will be made the Managing Trustee/beneficiary of these funds and Hang Seng Bank subsequently will be instructed to make payment of the monies in their custody to you.

This transaction is 100% risk free. The alternative to the aforementioned would be that when my bank is notified of this, the Hang Seng Bank would be informed and the money reverts back to the state or embezzled by a corrupt top official which is more likely to happen if you and i do not act quick. This is a lifetime opportunity for us and as personal banker to the DECEASED and custodian to his files and all his information here, I hold the KEY to these funds.

Indicate your interest by providing your full Name, Address, Phone/fax Number.

I propose that upon successful completion of this deal, we will split the proceeds according to a ratio to be agreed in subsequent communication between us.

I await your response.

Sincerely,

Lee Arthur
